Are Life and Death really opposite, or are they actually united on some level?
Inspired by the anime EVA and Devilman, fascinated by their subtle philosophical expression and visual excellence. Based on the exploration of death, survival and human nature, we decided to collaborate on this book, which analyses the boundaries and tensions of life and death from multiple perspectives of philosophy, art and emotion.
In terms of design, I adopted a modern minimalist font and emphasised the use of white space to make the core content more prominent and enhance the immersion of reading. The neat and rigorous typographic structure strengthens the rational expression, while retaining the visual balance and tension to fit the philosophical depth and ideological connotation of the book. Through this book, I hope to provoke readers to think about the meaning of life, and to find personal understanding and empathy in the eternal proposition of life and death. This is not only a publishing practice, but also a journey of exploration across vision, thought and perception.
